We woke up in Orlando and leisurely drove to Lake City, GA (our last city with a grocery store before the Okefenokee). The weather forecast was rain rain and rain during the remainder of our trip. It rained on the way there, while we were there and while we were in the canoe. However, it didn’t rain all the time. We squeezed in some good memories in between the rain.
Reading in the car:
We love sitting outdoors for meals. This was a little Ale House we saw along our route.
We rented one of the cottages in the Stephen C. Foster State Park. They lock the gates at 10 p.m. No one can enter and no one can leave after this time. This, is how horror films start…
Our Cottage:
We unpacked our car and then went exploring.
Our first alligator sighting:
This sign was appropriately placed right next to the alligator.
Then we called it a night.
