The Great Smoky Mountains National Park

We really like visiting the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (GSMNP). We go here every year, and Wolfgang sometimes camps here by himself and/or with the boys. It’s a manly weekend. This time, we got to rough it out in a hotel room. We stay at the same hotel every time we go. It’s gotten to be a tradition now.

We hiked the Alum Cave Bluffs trail and this is the first time I went all the way to the Bluffs. The National Park Service re-did the trail and it was a lot easier to hike now. It wasn’t as slippery. I really like this trail in the summer because we hike along a stream and stop to play. The boys like looking for salamanders.
