Happy New Year! WOW! Who can believe that it’s already 2012? We let the boys stay up as a little experiment to see when they would pass out. Well, we had to put them to bed after midnight and all the displays of fireworks in our neighborhood. Who knew they were such party animals?
I don’t know what your New Year resolutions and traditions are, but I’m sure it involves food or less thereof if you’re like most people. I’ll be one of those people crowding in at the gym the first week of January, but let’s see how long that will last. Since we are on the topic of food and resolutions, one of my resolutions is to take a photo every day (note that I would take one every day, but I may not post one everyday). It may be of the boys, food, whatever. I’m trying to branch out and stop being so boring with my photography. I’ll try to be better at posting on our blog too. I know we have some closet follower out there uhem… who never post comments. So, I would really appreciate it if you leave some love when you visit.
These are mushroom looking marzipan treats aka Falsche Pilze. These are traditional treats for Wolfgang on New Year’s Day.
My mom likes her black eyed peas and cabbage. She cooked the black eyed peas into a Vietnamese dessert. Yum!
Of course this post would not be complete without photos of the boys. We went to Stone Mountain for them to wave to the train.
