This was our fourth time to Playa del Carmen, Mexico. One would think that we would be tired of it by now. The boys definitely are not. They’ve already told us multiple times since arriving home that they wish they could go back again. Alex asked if after sleeping, we could go back on Monday. There was a change in staff. We only recognized a few people. I guess we should expect some changes over the years, but this year, they changed more than the previous years. There were some good and bad changes.
The good:
1)They added a Super Heroes show including pyrotechnics that they boys loved. Batman, joker, catwoman, spiderman, the hulk, ironman, and superman all made appearances. It aslo featured Darth Vader with storm troopers dancing to Gangnam style.
2)The kids club opened and hour earlier.
The bad:
1)No more alcohol at the aqua park.
2)No more gazpacho.at.all.
Other Random thoughts:
1)I caught a GI bug. That’s never happened before. I guess it was only a matter of time…
2)The aqua park pool was only closed once due to a kid defecating in it (that we know of).
3)The boys found a common friend to play with towards the end of the week.
4) Most of the kids their age and older were still in school. That made them one of the older kids this year. They had to look out for the little ones.
5)Maybe we’ll move on to another resort next year.
